Please allow me to introduce myself

Hello there.
I'm a complete beginner to campervans and campervanning so I hope to glean some information and wisdom from the experienced members of this forum.
I'll be taking delivery of a 31 year old T25 i.6 Diesel campervan within the next couple of days.  I retired a few years ago and it has always been an ambition of mine to spend a few years travelling while I can. Hopefully Ireland next month. I know nothing of camping sites or "best" wild camping areas but it's exciting finding out.  A lot more fun than trying to get an affordable insurance quote which I'd liken to trying to swim through treacle.  I thought my first quote of £490 pa rather excessive (Comprehensive) but what do I know!?

Welcome to the forum Ged. There are plenty of discussions on the fun of finding an insurance quote of reasonable proportions on here. Try putting "insurance" into the search box at the top of the home page to see them. Enjoy your van

Looking at your introduction Ged, just wondering if you are a Stones fan by any chance?

Did my initial training with the then GPO at Lark Lane in Aigburth.

Where I live backs onto the GPO Sorting Office in Little Parkfield Road just around the corner.

What a great way to start your camping I did the same 10years ago with my 1994 auto sleeper been all over Europe this country and very rarely book anything up we just set a date and go good luck to you enjoy it
Just go on confused.com or any insurance search engine 
Also you will need b/down recovery and away you go
