Down-rating and awning shedding
Thinking of shedding some weight from our A/S Beckford in a bid to to get it rated as 3500kg instead of 3850. Looks like the Thule awning weighs c. 100kg, and we rarely use it. So that's a candidate for removal. As are the wind-down rear brace things. Anyone any experience with removing an awning, or indeed the whole down-rating thing?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Down-rating and awning shedding
I had to remove the awning on the last van , I opened it up slightly and there was only 3 nuts and bolts 6mm I think that held it too the brackets, once the bolts removed I closed the awning back up, with the help of another person we had an end each and lifted and a slight twist out away from the van wall , the awning was hooked on to the brackets, just go carefull comping downs the ladders with the weight
