Hello To the Forum

Hello all. I have had my VW Autosleeper Clubman for 6 months.
I say I have had it, its actually the wife's.
We are base's in SE Cornwall and have used the van several times and are very pleased with it. Traveling as far as the Lake District and Yorkshire so far with more adventures to come.
As far as I can see the only major modification to the van is the installation of a solar panel for charging the leasure battery.
I now have to get my head around the relays and modify it so the fridge will run on 12volts without the ignition being on.

Welcome to the forum.
If you have a 100AH leisure battery, the fridge will take about 3 - 4 hrs to flatten it to the point of permanent battery damage from fully charged. That is why the gas operation facility is there.

Noooo, don’t run your fridge off 12v. You’ve got gas for that purpose.
