Aventa comfort Empty Aventa comfort

Hi away in france where the temperature  is 38 degrees  have the above mentioned  air conditioning  united .it is set at the lowest  no16 degrees  but it is not that cold. Could it be that the outside  temperature  is so high or could there be a fault. Does seem to get colder during  the night. Any ideas. Thanks in advance
