Turning off integral gas supply in Broadway E
The instruction manual says turn gas tap clockwise to turn it off. We have tried this but gas is still on. We tried anticlockwise and this does not work either. We have never turned the gas off before

Are you trying "to cut off the gas supply at the tank underneath the vehicle"?

Are you allowing time for the residual gas in the pipe system to burn off?

Like you I've never tried to turn it off. It looks to be straight forward. "Turn the large brass knob clockwise to close the outlet valve."

Why do you want to turn it off, for eurotunnel perhaps? You only need to turn off at the manifold (AS state that in handbooks) for that or is there another reason?

Hi caraman. Yes it says turn it clockwise to turn off but we have never turned it off.but it will only turn anticlockwise so dosnt make sense. Also need to show eurotunnel that it is off

This is great information, I would have tried to turn it off at the “bottle” but so much easier if you can just turn off at the manifold.Paulmold wrote:Why do you want to turn it off, for eurotunnel perhaps? As Paul has pointed out, the A-S Manual states that to use Euro Tunnel only the red isolation taps on the gas manifold in the wardrobe have to be turned off. As Peter has explained, when the gas is turned off at the external tank, it can take a while for the gas in the pipes to dissipate. This may have caused confusion.Mids wrote:Hi caraman.
