Fridge door
The locking catch on my fridge is not holding the door shut when driving. It appears that it is not connecting with the retaining bar? Any ideas please.

Re: Fridge door
I doubt whether this applies to your 2021 fridge, but on older ones (e.g. my 2015 one) the door hinge can drop somewhat. I cured mine (after a Forum suggestion) by inserting a cork (cut to a very tight fit) underneath the lower hinge.
But I suspect your problem can be cured by an adjustment to the catch. I'm afraid I don't know how - and may I suggest that you tell us the fridge make and model, so that those better informed than me can help?

Re: Fridge door
On my fridge there is a slider that disconnects the catch for use when on site, does yours?

Perhaps you could get it looked at under warranty?

Re: Fridge door
Our fridge wouldn't close properly last time we were away,we found out it was the rubber seal coming out at the bottom of the door, put it back into place and no problem.

Re: Fridge door
should not need it at that age of van, but new spring needed?
in retaining handle, Clare's accessories simple hair clip, cheap, get the spring out of it and fit to handle. Even a pound shop will do, pack of five etc (some spare). eBay ones are s/steel but £5 plus !!
handle is easy to remove, two star headed screws.
Good luck, could be the seal as mentioned but could also be the handle return Spring . Does the handle Spring down to hold door?

I believe fitted appliances only have one year warranty. Better jump in quick!

Re: Fridge door
On my new Broadway the table fitting post in to the floor has pulled out of the floor. It is screwed into the floor with 1 inch screws which hardly go through the floor covering into anything solid so will certainly never stay in place. Is this common? I could take it back under warranty but easier to fix myself probably. Its a shame because the van is good but so many minor finish items poorly done, the coathook fell off on day 1, that had a tiny screw into thin wood never going to work.

It does sound like the spring babian, mine went and the dealer was happy to send a new catch out in the post under warranty. Simple job to replace as you mention.

Re: Fridge door
Just thinking about your fridge. I'm sure if retaining handle is not "in line" and not locating. Door hinge brackets come off so you can swap door to hinge the other way. Also there are spare washers on the top hinge pin of ours that are used to put instead under the bottom hinge pin to realign door (adjust up or down door) use as spacers as needed.
Good luck. Get back to us if you get fixed.

Re: Fridge door
Ps.
I don't mean to say rehang door the opposite side. I mean you could take bottom hinge off and pack it up or down with the washers to align handle and catch.
I know what I'm trying to say !!!!
I think the original poster has gone away and "sorted it bye now"

It often makes you wonder why we bother to try and help newcomers babian?
Changing the subject, just back from one of our favourite sites at St Neots, not far from you. Will definitely be back to the Rutland Water site you recommended last year.

Re: Fridge door
If it is the spring, then inserting a bit of foam rubber or similar into the latch to replicate the springs function helps to make a temporary repair. I seem to remember to door can open itself whilst driving if the spring has failed.
