Carver 4000 Space Heater
I had a habitation check done yesterday. I asked the guy to do a close inspection of the Carver 4000 space heater because it's been acting up the last year or so. It sometimes makes some loud noises, like the flames are being blown on. (Not the wind because it also happens on still days.)
Looks like there are some big issues with it. The outer cover of the flue, inside the heater, has been completely burned away. He said he can probably service it, but is worried that if he spends a couple hours on it and finds that replacement parts are required, it may be a waste of time if the parts aren't available.
Needless to say, it failed the check and it's now capped off. :-(
Looks like the Truma S3004 could be a suitable replacement, but I'm not sure. Has anyone had a Carver 4000 and replaced it with a Truma S3004 or other heater?
Any suggestions on what to do?
