Water pump Empty Water pump

Post by ICDC Wed Sep 29, 2021 5:22 pm

Hi, I have a Surflow 3000 water pump had a few probs with air in the taps so took it off to check it.  Everything looked fine, but on the filter should there be two O rings or just the one...? .  When I was refitting the pump, I have cracked the plastic screw connector that connects the water pipe to the pump body.  Question where can I purchase a new plastic connector please..?  And should the filter have two O rings or just the one like on mine..Thank you

I recently had to replace the filter housing on mine, it had been cracked in the past, and glued. A new filter housing was about £5 plus postage, only had one O ring on it.

They have them on the autosleeper parts pages...

The view our latest parts link on this page.

It's a pdf download. I think mine was off amazon though.

Shurflo Screw on Water Pump Filter Barbed Straight Inlet Wing Nut 1/2" https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B085HX3S8H/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_SKH6V64H7VWC26YXMWWN I think it was.

Edit.. I see that is nearly £15. I don't remember paying that much.

Ours is a strange one..I noticed when there was no water from the taps, I kept my finger on the blue toilet flush until it gave a good flush..then the main taps worked..so air getting in there

The original on ours was vertical, the new one is  like the one in the link. I fitted it upside down, so with the bowl in the top no water can sit in it when it's drained down. Especially as it's in an awkward place to get at!

Ours is behind a panel, in the bottom of the cupboard under the sink. Have to strip shelves and such out to get at it. Easy enough to take out, clean filter etc, once you get hands on it.
