Weather

Wet and very windy overnight.  Now bright with blue sky showing through the clouds which are moving at a rate of knots due to the strong winds. Must fix that rattling fence panel.

Same as yesterday with a cold wind in the morning. It must have rained hard last night because there were some huge puddles on our walk.
This afternoon it really rained hard when I was in the workshop so I stayed put until it calmed down a bit. It’s going to be cold tonight because the clouds have cleared. We will need hat and gloves for our bedtime walk.

Sleet and hailstones with thunder for about an hour this afternoon, soon cleared to a blue sky.

Yes, dry and frosty here too and a very red sky. Looks like another day of unsettled weather with wintery rain being carried in a stiff breeze.

Mr and Mrs Fox have taken up residence in our garden and the one next door so we've got very few birds visiting.

Clear blue sky,very cold wind, lots of contrails in the sky,wonder if GH is in one of the airframes?
No foxes in our garden, couple of hedge hogs out thinking its spring time, they've gone back to bed too.

We had everything yesterday,  sun, rain (torrential at times), hail and gales. Settled this morning but rather cold.

Non descript morning.. no frost, no wind, no rain or snow, no sun and no warmth. Just washed the car and other than cold fingers was rather pleasant as I was well wrapped up.

Time for a cuppa now.

Snow didn't come to anything here yesterday. But slight covering on hills at back of Kirriemuir about 6 to 7 miles away. And back hills of the Grampians all white this morning.

Milder than yesterday but still quite chilly, more of a breeze than wind. Light covering of scattered cloud but lots of blue in the sky as dawn breaks.

Pretty much the same here, quite bright and virtually no wind. That will change later with gales hitting the north so wind and rain on the way for us.

I took an old carpet and underfelt (cut into manageable lumps) to our local recycling depot yesterday. Hardly got out my car when two guys dumping stuff offered to help me, I thanked them but declined their help. Started to empty the car and a different guy joined in without asking me 

I know I felt wrecked after lifting the carpet but I thought I looked ok 

Turned into a real dreich morning, thick sea fret/ har rolled in after 8, had the washing on ,so it's gone out under the car canopy.
Glad you managed your carpets to the coup Tony, I would be wheezing all the way back from the stur .

This morning I got dressed as usual for our walk, fleece, big coat and hat expecting the seasonal cold walk. By the time I got home it was quite warm and bright.
By the time I walked to my appointment with the foot lady it was warm enough to walk down with my fleece unzipped. I don’t think spring is here just yet but this respite is nice.

Cool clear starlite morning,light breeze and no frost, nice walk with Tag down the old toon, some urban foxes at the wheelie bins and some frogs back in the pond in the garden.

Dry, bright and cold morning here but it will get even colder over the next few days. Not much moving outside although I did see a Robin on one of our feeders. 

Carpet fitters coming this morning, so it's humphing furniture this afternoon with a visit to the big orange shop sandwiched in between as my wife wants stuff to paint a dresser. Think I might change my name to sandy 

Bright sunshine gentle breeze but chilly. Looks like a lovely winter's day. Managed to get Moho washed yesterday. Hopefully will get first layer of polish on this morning.

Ideal weather for jet washing bloc paving and patio, suns out 12 degrees in the shade, cold weather coming back tomorrow.

Still and frosty morning, no wind at present. Forecast is heavy rain and 50mph winds by lunchtime, then down to -5C overnight. Definitely day for indoors.

Light scattering of snow here, back garden is white this morning. The temperature has dropped quite a bit and there are more nasties on the way over the next few days. Got to go out shopping

Not as cold as expected, only showing -3C this morning. Very still with starlit sky. 

Off to daughter's house to start demolishing the brick fire surround in her lounge. Somehow feel I might be stiff and sore this time tomorrow.

Sharp frost this morning but sunny, forecast is it to warm up later. That's good because I'm getting sent outside to sand some furniture for the boss to paint. At least it's the weekend so I can look forward to a small refreshment later

Done that! With the first dry calm day in a fortnight , off to daughters house to wrestle 10m of 6 inch flue pipe liner  down the chimney to connect to the now rebuilt fireplace !
