Habitation Door Ram
Hi, there is not much resistance in the ram at the top of the door, open or close, was like it from new should there be ? Only enquiring as the rams that lift the seats up definitely have pressure in them when lifted or lowered. Anyone else has this issue
Thanks All.

Thanks All.

Re: Habitation Door Ram
AS door suppliers always seem to fit door stay ramps of zero resistance. Mine certainly is.

Mine reach a Point of resistance then soft .locks the door open , like the check link on car doors.

Re: Habitation Door Ram
Door just slams shut when windy with no resistance at all from the ram, Husband has set up an aero elastic from outer handle to ns wheel to stop this , surely ram is faulty and warranty issue, motorhome is only 4 weeks old.Molly3 wrote:Mine reach a Point of resistance then soft .locks the door open , like the check link on car doors.

The stay is strong enough to swing the door fully open and keep it fully open, providing the wind doesn't gust causing it to slam shut. In these conditions I tie a cord from the nearside cab door handle to the open habitation door's inner handle. If this is a fault, it's a door design fault rather than a warranty fault.
