Morrocco?
Are there any members considering travelling to Morrocco in the coming months….it seems that the ferries are not running yet and some borders may be closed!
Im hoping that the situation changes before the end of November but Information is scarce…!!

Re: Morrocco?
Be worth reading a youtube article re many who got stuck there, for months, when Spain didn't allow covid travel

Love the place, wouldn't risk it for now.
Also although pretty safe, nearly all the worst terrorists are from Morocco. (Not active in Morocco though)

Re: Morrocco?
Thanks Ian….. I do know about that set of circumstances, it’s a political decision made by Spain essentially….no crossings through Tangier either, that land border is also closed..
It’s a difficult one for sure, I wouldn’t know about the origin of the terrorists but in general, people tend to be either side of the fence regarding safety and beauty…to some it’s a dangerous Sh%&t hole!
Take your pick i guess!

Re: Morrocco?
As i said, we love the country and vast majority of its people.
Problem is if the route to Spain closes there are no alternatives in any direction
Algeria a massive no no, Mauretania likewise.
Be Ok if no covid but that imho is a long way from gone yet.......

Have to agree with everything Ian has posted, I would be giving it a wide berth at the moment as well.

We once had a package holiday in Agadir when the kids were young, went on all the tours etc and had a great time.groundhog wrote:Have to agree with everything Ian has posted, I would be giving it a wide berth at the moment as well.
Some years later when we visited Gibraltar by motorbike we looked over to Morocco and said one day we'll go there in the van.
I seriously doubt it'll happen now, the present situation looks like lasting for years to come and we're getting no younger..
