Hartal door gas strut Empty Hartal door gas strut

Please I have a 67 plate Broadway and want to replace the Hartal Door gas strut which I think is losing compression. The Original equipment manufacturer is Hahn gas federn. AS parts aren’t taking orders by phone and I was pondering on trying to source the item from a gas strut supplier to speed things up.
Has anybody any experience of sourcing and fitting their Hab door gasstrut that they can share? It shouldn’t be hard to fit but I wondered if you can use an alternative manufacturer. Thankyou.

I can't see why you can't use any brand as long as length and strength match original. Be careful of Chinese made ones as some don't last long although you could probably  buy half  a dozen for the price of a UK made one.

It may be worth speaking to SGS Engineering - they were really helpful when I needed to source some gas struts.

Yes, fantastic service, ordered at lunchtime... arriving tomorrow morning. Fairly priced unlike a minority of suppliers (one wanted £83!)... I’d have just bought a couple of bungees if that was the only option!
