A Club to be proud of

Hi Admin,

I would be very happy to become a member of this ‘Club’ but I can’t think of anything to moan about …. Except, Politicians, Women Drivers, Lorry Drivers, Volvo Drivers, Children on Campsites, the Weather …. Still I’ll think of something

I feel certain that this may well be the 'busiest' section on the forum

Here's one to get it going: I used to LOVE tv documentries, note I said 'USED', things like 'Horizon', its * Inappropriate Word * nowadays, zipping from one thing to another
at high speed, narration drowned out with awful LOUD music, I find myself holding the remote permenantly adjusting the volume up & down....unwatchable.

I think i'm going to enjoy this section

And don't get me started about the news on TV, Do they HAVE to tell you 20sec before it starts whats coming up?
Then halfway through they repeat what they told us 5min earlier? THEN tell it all again at the end???

When on the radio the news presenter reads a report then introduces a "local reporter" who repeats the same story virtually word for word.

I love “Time Team” but could cheerfully throttle the Moron Director who insists on “updating” after every commercial break …… still “Pads out” the program, …….. If you missed the previous bit … tough

While I have my nostrils flared …….

Why can’t the Editors or their Bosses, finish all of one subject instead of “flitting about” and then returning later …… Grrrrrrrr (So many programs do this, that it has become the ‘Norm)

On the subject of TV, how about the 2-3 second zipping of camera shots, no chance to 'focus' (no pun intended) on the subject. Gives me a brain ache!

Another personal grump, totally unconnected with the above, online income tax returns, dont be tempted unless you have a complete grasp of the tax system. Take it from me, I learnt the hard way and it cost me plenty.

Now I'm a slowly recovering pensioner.

Just seen on tv one of the ceramonies from China's games, WOW, real impressive stuff with hundreds of perfectly choreographed drummers, beutifull

THEN they showed what we're going to do, Oh dear, I'm embarrased already, the expectant VIPs whisked away a large cover to
reveal a model of our effort, it appears to be a giant allotment with animals in a field, a game of cricket, CLOUDS THAT RAIN FOR CHRISSAKE!!!!!!!!!

All we need now is the same crew that did the jubilee comentary & the jobs a good-un.

talking of "Olympic allotments" just been watching the "trooping of the colours" for the queens birthday, why have they not put something similar into the opening program of the Olympics, what is more British than soldiers in their red tunics and bearskins much nicer to watch than sheep in a field with false clouds overhead don't you think?

Can I moan on behalf of my OH.
Umbrellas.
Went up to North East to see the torch relay. Waited at Angel for about an hour and a half. It was raining on and off and kept getting poked by people with umbrellas

Went to Durham on evening to racecourse and waited again. Stupid people with umbrellas poking people in eyes etc. whats wrong with a hat.

Not bothered about waiting but when you have a good view and a bloke ith less hair than me blocks entire view for loads of people.
