Queues Empty Queues

Post by Askit Sun Nov 15, 2020 12:00 pm

Been in two long queues this morning and I've not left the house. Logged into Aldi and I was number something just under 10 millionth and there was over 170000 in the queue in front of me. They said the waiting time would be over an hour, correct, it was about 90 minutes confused3 So while I waited, I phoned the helpline given in my Sunday newspaper to get the sections that were missing. Hello, the recorded voice said, you are in a queue and your call will be answered blah, blah, blah. Only 15 minutes this time and it was a free call.

I'm exhausted now hugegrins

I feel much better for seeing that, thankfully I was after something else.

Best not to name your carrots, makes it harder when you come to eat them lol4

Last week we decided to shop on line due to us all being in insulation. Our daughter found a delivery slot for the next morning by Asda. Not some were we normally shop but it stocked up the cupboards for another week.
We can see Lidl from our house and I have noticed the car park has been full most days since lockdown and no one waiting to go in.  During the first lockdown the car park was very quiet but people were waiting for ages to get in. Strange times.
