Oil Notification.
Recently changed the oil and filter on my 2004 Inca, 2.2hdi, all appeared ok, have one about 150 miles and this comes on when swtching the ignition on.
I'm guessing it means to much oil, but the dipstick shows it's spot on... any ideas?

I would believe the dipstick
I wondered why after 150 miles?

Re: Oil Notification.
We had the same warning on a previous van we owned, albeit it was a 2005 with the 2.0 engine.
The independent motorhome specialist centre that did all our base and conversion servicing told us that it was a common problem with Fiats of that vintage. The float (or whatever) that's used to provoke the warning gets stuck in an "overfull" position. It may well be the same issue in your case.
As per the previous comment, we trusted the dip stick measurement over the dash warning (gravity doesn't go wrong, electronics & mechanicals do!)

Re: Oil Notification.
That warning has always come up on my van when I switch the ignition on with a hot engine, never when starting from cold. I know there's the correct amount of oil in so I ignore it. It may be due to the oil expanding when hot.
