Hi John.
Take a look at the Avtex range of 12volt/240volt TV/DVD's on google, we have 2 Avtex models, the 10" and 15" (10" from our 59 Symbol) .
Although they are older models than currenty advertised, they are self turning, give a crystal clear picture and virtually soldier proof.
We purchased ours from www.capitalstores.co.uk, if your with the caravan club ,see March 2012 mag for exclusive offers.
Many others dealers advertising 12volt/240 volt TV's. on the net and magaziness

Re: 12v/240 tv dvd
Richer Sounds were selling off some 15" Visual Innovations 12v LCD TV's for £99 but I think the few stores that had them have now cleared what stocks they have but you could always try calling them to check, found this Odys Vario 15" TV / DVD 12v for £199 including free delivery if that helps? http://www.in21now.co.uk/acatalog/tvdvd.html
As Boaby says the Avtex sets are very popular but are usually quite pricey, think there was one for sale in the classifieds section here on the forum a while back as in new condition but can't remember who was selling it

For price I think you'll have a job beating Kogan TV/DVD combos but reviews are a bit mixed. 16" at £89 and 19" at £99 + 12v adaptor at £9 - all free shipping...

I agree that's a very good price Paul.. nice find
16" is big enough for any motorhome, cant get over the size of some of the TV's people have in their caravans looking around on sites

Re: 12v/240 tv dvd
thanks lads for all your comments, went on to kogan website and have ordered a 16" 12 v/240v tv, have also ordered a cigarette adaptor which i hope to change to the 2 pin adaptor to fit the socket in my symbol, both items cost £98, i like the website, its very clear and informative with a question and answer section, once again thanks for your help and will let you all know how i get on, johnandeva

The Kogan is a half-decent unit, I have a 22" built into the big overhead locker door in the luton, may seem a bit big, but its 10ft from where we sit so its a fair distance to watch from & completely out of the way taking up no room at all!
