Members Ages In Profiles & Donations

I read the initial announcement that ages had been removed by Admin a month ago and accepted that, however I had no need to revisit the thread and therefore missed the later invitation to make comment on having the information reinstated.

It was only after Paul made mention of possible reinstatement and added a link in another thread yesterday, that I became aware of the later invitation to make comment.

There may be others in a similar position and blissfully unaware, giving the impression that not many are interested.

I agree about reinstating the member age field, find it useful in putting a mental picture together of the poster. 
I don't see it as a security risk unless your actual birthday was displayed.

A long time ago we had done on profile. It was cut down to age but it does change automatically on my birthday. That's nice!

morning all i will be 76 on 16 December and only just getting into this posting thing 
And I don't mind if you know as long as you say I don't look it 
I would also like to see the dates at the top off the forum  page 
Sometimes a reply says 6am today when it's only 5am and I get confused 
As to which day thy are taking about

You certainly don't look 76 Jim.   Oh just noticed you're only 75. 
Dates are shown on the top of posts except some members haven't got their 'clock' set correctly.
See profile at the top of page then preferences and scroll down to the bottom for time

I've often wondered at what age people start telling you what they'll be at their next birthday, rather than giving their actual current age.    

I'm 62 and it hasn't happened to me yet . . .

For some reason my age keeps going up every year. Haven't worked out how to stop it yet. Even on this forum it increases every year without me doing anything.

Hi Rose there is a way to stop it but it's a bit drastic I think I'll try for a few more years yet
