Are you turning the knob back to reduce the flame? The knob goes off. Full on, and then slowly down to minimum(not off).

I have made the mistake of turning the knob back instead of down ,when I first bought the van, soon learnt that it went out,
also not holding the knob in long enough to light it, give it an extra couple of seconds now. it`s all good fun.

i do not have a problem with the back burner it turns down from full flame easily and never goes out. the problem is the front two there is no obvious problem visible its only when i try to turn them down even after they have been burning for some time.

found the fault with gas rings we had been on a rally with greenfield site and the battery had discharged quicker than previous when it was recharged problem disappeared. there was not enough charge for safety device to work so looks like a new battery
