Hi Everybody, just a note to introduce ourselves. We are James and Culide from South Wales and own a 98 Legend on a transit long wheel base. Bought it 2 months ago and we are over the moon with it. Having done over 1500 miles in the first 2 weeks of ownership. Did a tour of Northern Ireland and Scotland, driving back through central Wales. We had a mazda bongo for 2 years and really enjoyed it but it was just too small. The legend is so relaxing and a joy to go away in, i wish we had done this years ago. I work away at sea so when i come home, Culide has the van packed ready, then we go off for another great adventure. We are finally seeing parts of our own beautiful country that we never realised existed. We are also amazed at how many people wave to us when we are on our travels as well. Look forward to chatting and possibly meeting new friends on our travels,
Best regards,
Jim and Culide

Hi there, wave

Glad you are having so much fun. We are new to the forum as well and also motorhoming! We had a look at Bongos but thought they would be too small for our needs.

Hi and welcome to the forum from Nottinghamshire. Quite true you just do not know what there is in this country until you have a motorhome. Enjoy your AS Legend.

Whisky. up!

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody. I am due home from sea in just over 2 weeks time, and Culide is already sorting the van out for our next great adventure. It looks like we will be going to Snowdonia next, somewhere i have always wanted to visit. Then back home along the coast at our leisure. All the best,

Jim and Culide

Jim,

Welcome home.

I suppose nowadays "The Channels" are a thing of the past, but I always loved the anticipation between sighting the white cliffs on the port side and the time I dropped my kit-bag on the floor at home. (Which was always the second thing I did after walking through the door!)

Enjoy.

Hi Dutto, still get the channels but in a different way now. I fly over them on the way back home via paris. I work offshore now in Brasil so its a 10 hour flight home each time. Six weeks on six weeks off so plenty of time to go off on our travels. I intend to get as much use out of the van as possible. All the best,

Jim
