Hello everyone.

I'm David, and I live in Bristol.
I've just acquired a very nice up-together 1998 Topaz, so thought I should join the Forum in order to access the many years of accumulated wisdom probably to be found here about such aged gems.
That said, I'm already having difficulty finding anyone to insure it, so the first thing I need to do is find the appropriate forum for advice on that !

Hi David, welcome to the forum.

Use the search facility in the top left of the page and type in Insurance and tick the topic box, that should at least give you a starting place.

Hi David and welcome.

I’m sure you’ll find plenty of suggestions for insurers.

Brilliant, Dave.
(What a splendid Forum this is!  Already I'm delighted I joined.)
The search you suggested turned up, in ...

 General full time motorhome insurance
by hanger312 in Motorhome & Camping Chat

... a link to  Adrian Flux insurers, which did indeed come up with the goods.

(The site doesn't allow me, as a new member, to include any of those as 'live' links, but if anyone else with a similar problem stumbles on this, there is one in the above thread, or you can search Adrian Flux online)

Thanks again, Dave.

wave Welcome to the forum. As others have said there are lots of posts about insurance providers. Personally I have been with Adrian Flux since my days with Landrovers. I struggled to find an issuer after I updated my engine. Saying that their quote for managements Fiesta 1.4 was higher than her old 1.2 Polo she used for work.

Dan from Adrian Flux posts on this forum in the discounts section, Dave, and can be contacted direct or via the forum once you’ve made enough posts to gain access to the PM system.

Hello David

If you join the Caravan and Motorhome club you can do insurance through them, also a really good recovery called Mayday, which is Green Flag, I have found them excellent.

Hi, Boaby. Hippy-chick7 and Dave 418.
And apols for the delay in responding - I had a rather hectic day yesterday, so didn't have time to check my e-mails.

And thanks Tinwheeler.  I'm too late for the "discounts for members" this time round, but will obviously have to befriend Dan before renewal time next year.

(Though I'd better also check out the Discounts Forum pdq to avoid missing out on anything else ! )
