Perthshire Caravans Empty Perthshire Caravans

Post by Bilbobaggins Fri Jun 02, 2023 7:15 pm

Not Autosleeper dealer but bought WXL from them, claim to be largest motorhome dealer in Scotland with largest state of the art workshop, however don't seem to be able to retain their staff so as well as advertising for a caravan and moho technician for at least tge second time this year, they no longer have a qualified MOT tester so cannot carry out MOT test on moho. Don't know when they will be offering tests again. Not sure how they will MOT any used vans they are selling prior to collection

They have now effectively lost my business for maintenance. The company who have provided and serviced our Toyota cars for 30 years also have both a Peugeot franchise and now dealership for Adria moho, they don't have big enough MOT ramp for WXL, but no problem, they will subcontract test for same fee.. Guess who gets my business in future, also not 10 miles from civilisation if wating fir work unlike Perthshire Caravans who don't even have a waiting room.

As far as I'm concerned, the only good thing about Perthshire Caravans is that it's beside The Horn.  I'm sure some folk will swear by them but we stopped in there when we were looking for another van last year, spoke to the sales chap as we were going to buy a new Elddis, he said he could get us one and he would email after he had contacted Elddis themselves - never heard from him again, didn't even answer my emails to him.

Yes, barge pole etc. I think they were the only official AS dealers in Scotland when we bought ours from them.
