Hello from Devon Empty Hello from Devon

Post by Nieve Tue May 16, 2023 6:25 pm

Hello all,

We will be collecting our 2019 Nuevo EK on May 24 from a dealership in Taunton, after trading in our much loved Vantage Med.

We are hoping it will be slightly easier in terms of living space and for making the bed; the Vantage had a lovely end lounge but making up the bed was a faff. And what a treat it will be just to pull the cab blinds across rather than fiddle about with a foil blanket and rubber suction pads 😀.

We particularly like touring in France but our first trip in Nieve will be up to Northumberland - have long been wanting to explore the north east.

Look forward to fruitful discussions with you all in due course!

Best wishes,

Andy and Suzanne

Welcome!

Northumberland was our new to us van’s maiden trip last month after several months sorting out teething problems with, and enhancements to, the AS/Sargent electrics. It was also a first for us personally as well (any further than 10 metres either side of the A1!) but a trip that we will repeat as soon as July!

We thought Alnwick was more interesting than Bamburgh, particularly enjoyed West Kyloe Farm near Holy Island, and also great wild camping by the dunes at Cheswick Beach. Autogas at Beal garage on A1 if you use it. Don’t miss Forest Drive near Kielder.

Many thanks The Bargee! Excellent tips. Not sure about the wild camping though smile! . Always good to know where to get LPG - very useful!
