Windbreaker advice Empty Windbreaker advice

Post by Auchinleck Thu Mar 23, 2023 3:12 pm

Hi everyone.

I'm sure I will get some stick asking this question however here goes.

I'm wondering how or if you can use a windbreaker with metal poles on a hard standing pitch. I don't mean concrete or tarmac but the ones the have gravel or similar

Many Thanks

Mine has wooden poles but also impossible to hammer into hard grass even, so drilled them in about 3 " and cut the heads off 6" nails, epoxied them into the poles. No probs now....

Hello Auchinlech,
I have a small "clip-on" awning with metal poles for my lìttle camper. I carry a couple of empty plastic 4 pint milk cartons.
I get someone to hold the pole upright in each bottle, while these are filled with gravel, sand or water as available, then I guy rope as needed.
Hope this might help ? ~ AV

PS, a little piece of red/white barrier tape (as on building sites) on the guy has averted many a 'trip' !
