6 degrees and dry this morning.  Forecast is only to go up to 8 and be overcast but should stay dry all day.

Can't understand why London Mayor has declared weather emergency for condtions we see on a regular basis eseveral times every winter but is treated here as normal winter weather and we just get on with it. shrugg

Not much change here, no frost and 7°c with a light cloud cover. Still feels very cold though but, as we have all seen, things could be much worse.

Take care folks

Typical high pressure weather here again today, baro says 1040 this morning. -3c at 0800, clear blue sky zero wind... Indeed Gridwatch tells me that coal is currently producing 3.5% of our electrical demand, wind and solar combined just 4.5%, N Sea gas (thank goodness we have it) doing 53%.
Such temps are not good for my balls, they're frozen again.....

Milder dry overcast morning, zero on the gauge. Nice walk with Tag,down the south side ,up to the harbour and back home for porridge.
Nice to hear the dawn chorus again, mostly Blackies with the odd Marvis joining in.
Have a nice day.

Cloud cover here too but 8°c and dry after some smirry rain yesterday. Looks like we'll escape the strong winds and the rain won't arrive until later in the evening.

Plenty of blackies here too but the only time I hear them is when they squawk when we go out the back door  shrugg

Take it easy

We have had a lovely couple of days in York with slightly chilly but bright weather. This morning we walked round the walls after breakfast starting off with hat and gloves on  but once we got into the city they came off.
Whilst we had lunch by the river the staff closed the blinds because we couldn’t see with the sun in our faces. Unfortunately we have to go home tomorrow as we did during our Cornwall trip because I am under orders from daughter again. My credit card has been warned because it’s time for my suit for her wedding. I best not put any weight on before September. Whistle1

Was Blawin a Hoolie last night - very wet and windy.  Seems to have calmed down this morning.  Supposed to be 4 degrees but feels a bit colder, al least it is dry and no wind.  Forecast is supposed to brighten up a bit later so fingers crossed.

Have a nice day folks.
