new member saying HELLO

Hi i am new to motor homes ,we have had landrover discoverys and caravans for the last 15 years or so.
last week I bid on ebay for a Talbot camper and won it ,only to find after the auction that it had been sold elsewhere but the auction was continued.
anyway we now have BETSY.
she is a big old girl ,been sorn for last couple of years while she under went a transformation.
she became a 2 berth camper van
she came with 11 months mot and 6 months tax.
Betsy is a LDV convoy 400 Hi Top mini bus first registed 29 December 1999 now registed as a motor caravan on log book.
94 k on the clock came with old mots and only done 2.5k in last 4 years.
Ford Transit 2.5 di so should go on for a good few years yet, all be it at a sedate pace.
fetched her from Doncaster yesterday .
We had a run in her this morning to local car boot and a trip to trashco.
drove her onto back garden and set about removing 3 years Scunthorpe grime.
there is a little bit of body work to do ,a few holes and some rust around where the hi top joins the sides.
a quick fix and some white hamerite will have her ready to face her public again.
we will be off to Penrith next month for a few days.
We being my better half Sheila ( or so she says) and me Ian. plus two dogs Ellie the 6 year old yorkshire terrier and 1 year old Molly Collie the border collie.
We come from the middle of Sherwood forest area of Nottinghamshire.
so a few trips to Clumber Park are on the cards.
