Ant Attack
Never had this problem before.
Pitched on a campsite in the Dordogne and after a couple of days found a few ants on the floor as I was going to bed. We didn't have much washing up to do so left if to join breakfast dishes in the morning. We woke up to find an ant trail to the dirty dishes and a lot of them assembled there.
They were climbing the hook up cable and coming in through the EHU connection:

I was advised by the site owner that wd40 both kills and deters them and it certainly does. I hung the cable over the wing mirror and sprayed with WD40, that stopped any more getting in but also the incumbents from getting out. Over the next few days they turned up in every locker and cupboard in the van that, in turn were wiped with WD40 and the area cleared. They travelled with us to the east of France and then up to Germany with us getting two or three every time we stopped. Yesterday back home I caught one climbing the hab door. None of them have had their passports stamped so I expect they will be expelled by the government.

I had wondered about the odd hanging of your EHU cable

That’s a bit concerning Peter but thanks for the heads up about the WD 40. Is there anything that is not cured by WD40?

Re: Ant Attack
I'm surprised the ants got through the EHU connection, I always thought it was a sealed unit. Certainly mine is well sealed to the bodywork so only path I can think is past the release lever?
Got a new one coming next few days, I'll inspect it, actually, we have a lot of ants here in the garden, might trap a few and put them in one side and observe (Prior to fitting!!!)

Thanks Ian but can’t get the link to work. Maybe I should spray WD40 on the iPad.IanH wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Bobskate wrote:46 Amazing Uses for WD-40 - Reader's Digest
