In 3 years owning my van, I’ve been on many sites and always approach other A/S vans of all sizes with respect to say hello.

You do find them, only a few with stickers though you have to ask.

You can always spot ours, Large Sticker on back box and normal sized on windscreen.  My intials (same as a go faster ford model) on top LH rear door.

Me too, never met a Forum member.

I approached a Broadway owner in Spain and he almost ran away, likewise a Broadway near Cambrige he pulled in front of me in a layby, I got out he hid, it takes all sorts.

Maybe one day we will bump into each other on a site and can discuss the A/S electrics among other things!
Welcome back by the way.

Gave up on approaching AS vans when my ASOF calling cards ran out several years ago, they had limited success anyway.
If I see a AS van with a ASOF windscreen sticker on ,I generally approach the owners to introduce myself, recently I met Cymro and his lovely wife at the Stonie site, we had a San Miquel and chatted for a while , nice friendly couple.
Carn't find my ASOF members flag ?? Need to get it out for next year

Yes, Boaby: it was a real pleasure to be approached by a fellow Forum member who had spotted my ASOF bage on the windscreen. That was the first time it had happened to us in about 12 years' membership of the Forum, and was indeed a joy. As was your beer!

Thanks again,

Spent the last three weeks in France and didn't see another Autosleeper until we got on the ferry to come home from Roscoff, a symbol, legend style van parked about four spaces behind us. Never saw the driver or whether it had a sticker or not. In 10 years haven't met another forum member but then we rarely tour in the UK.
The three weeks we spent in France we only came across one other British van, lovely couple who we ended up having drinks with late in to the night so even the natives had gone to bed.
