I drained down by Broadway water sytem.  Since refilling it the pump makes a whirrring noise but there is no water flow.  I fear the pump is dead.  does anyone know where it is located?

Guessing from the age of van that its in the fresh water tank, its a submersible. Not sure from what year they went to submersible pumps.

The pump is submersible and the noise is because the tank is  empty.  If you ran it for a short  period no damage should have happened.  You could refill the tank slightly  and try the pump again.  Always a good idea to spin the pump  shortly when tank is empty to clear the last water

If the tank is full, the whirring noise with no water flow could be an airlock in the submersible pump which is quite common with this type of pump.  Leaving it for an hour or so with the pump off might solve it.  Another way of dealing with it is to suck on an open tap whilst the pump is running with the other taps closed.  Another cause of your problem could be that the water drain down valve is still open.
