Hi and welcome from our corner of Lincolnshire. I believe the Hampshire is an updated version of our Rienza. Like wise we havnt seen meany about during our travels.
To us the layout is great and it’s helped being Ford based. I think Autosleeper have missed a trick going away from that layout. Also not everybody likes Peugeot as a base vehicle.
Enjoy you’re travels.

Welcome to the forum most things are the same as the Rienza as Dave has said, but you will find the odd one on a Merc.  Suspect if yours is a 2007 then it’s on a Mk7 Transit, if older but registered in 2007 then it could be a Mk6 Transit.    The layout was based on the Legend, one of AS best models

Hello and welcome from another Hampshire owner.  Later versions are indeed on the Merc chassis but are longer and have washrooms with the 'moveable wall' in the shower compartment.  They are also heavier than the Transit based versions.  As for spotting others, Hampshires and Rienzas come to that, are not that common.  Marquis did or may even still do, sell 'dealer specials' based on production vans.  Although part of the Auto Sleepers group Marquis has specials based on the products of other manufacturers in the County series.

Incidentally my handbook has a strip of tape on the cover saying Hampshire handbook not available, use Rienza.

thanks for lovely comments. we have a rienza handbook but no records at all of any servicing or habitation checks. dealer reassures us that vehicle isnt stolen but says it does happen that papers go missing!

If you are lucky your van may have had a habitation service by one of the companies who attach a little, usually round, sticker.  These are often placed outside near the habitation door and usually indicate the year when the sevice was done and the name of the company plus things such as being an approved workshop.  Easy to miss if you are not looking for it.  Do you have the Transit handbooks?  There may be stamps for servicing in there even if the invoices are absent.

Another thought, as your van would have been supplied by Marquis in the first place, as a long shot it may be worth contacting them to see if it is still in their records.  Your nearest Marquis is Exeter but they have only recently become part of the company, it was Martin's beforehand so unlikely they supplied.  The staff at Martin's I found very helpful, I bought my previous van, a Legend, from them and I know they had personal links with the owners of AS before the takeover.  They may still be willing to help assuming that they haven't moved on now.
