replacing white trim around door Empty replacing white trim around door

The white trim around the habitation door on the Nuevo  (external)has gone all brittle and shrunk and hanging off. I have bought new trim and wondered if you have any advice before I attempt to replace it. Needless to say I am not very practical and haven't done anything like this before so any and all useful advice gratefully accepted.
