Is Wales in the Uk.

Just been reading a full front and back page advert in the Metro for "Creative Pioneers apprenticeships" who then say the future starts here. They also say they will be opening their doors in September across the Uk.

What bothers me is, the map they show of the Uk does not include Wales. I know I'm getting older and more confused than ever, but when I return from abroad, how will I find my way home when all they show is the Irish sea.?

Don’t feel left out Leighton, just looked on their website, they are advertising 7 apprenticeships positions, 6 in London and 1 in Manchester. They are based in London so that will count as UK wide in their eyes.

On holiday in The Canaries once we met a widow from Brighton, she was about 55 years old. She was very well travelled, and as well as the holiday hotspots round the world, she'd lived in South Africa, Japan, and the USA. When we told her we came from a town near Manchester, she was quite taken aback, not only had she never met a northerner, it turned out she'd never travelled further north than Watford Gap in her life... But Bad Penny, may I suggest you get your own house in order. In your details you have your location as “West Coast”. Had always assumed Cornwall or Blackpool. I will now put my tin hat on.

Leighton, please don’t take on so. I had a lovely holiday in Wales last year. So it does exist. I’m off to the Forest of Dean next month. En route I will be in Wales for a couple of miles so I will report back if there is a gap.

I can confirm that some bits of Wales are still here, as we've cycled around the real west coast this morning and it was almost clear enough to see the Irish Coast.
There's west coast and west coast, so as far as I know, Leighton could be living in Port Talbot, given that the BBC always refer to Swansea as West Wales. 

We live on the edge of Gower, actually overlooking the Loughor estuary.
To correct things, perhaps I should say south west coast otherwise I'll get into trouble with Nuevoboy. We can't have any clan fighting can we.

I know of a bloke who is a friend of a mate who who has a friend of a friend who might me able to get the tickets printed that would be a battle royal worth watching,

I think I know who it is, a mate of ours from Derbyshire.
But we're born pacifists (or cowards) so you'll be disappointed that we won't be crossing swords with Leighton or anyone else on here.  

At least we can now save £5.60 when we go into Wales via the Severn Bridge.

It always seemed grossly unfair that I had to pay such a princely sum to visit the Mother in Law.

Since we got married in 1970 that means it has cost me more than sixteen quid!!!! 

I'm sure she's looking forward to a weekly visit at least.

I do sympathise with you foreigners Leighton.

It must have been devastating to realise that you were allowed to emigrate for nothing, but they didn't want you back unless you paid for re-patriation! 

As for mother in laws being held in high esteem, that was certainly her opinion!!
