Hi,

New to the Autosleeper family, but not motor homing.

We recently traded in our Murvi Morello, after an all too short ownership for a low mileage (8000) 2015 Auto Sleepers Kingham.

The main reason for the change, was to get a good nights sleep.  Although the bed in the Murvi had the optional extension it meant there was nowhere for our two standard poodles to sleep when the bed was made up, my offer to get an awning and sleep outside was not taken up.  In the Kingham they will have their own sofa, just like at home.  Making up the bed was also a chore, I had to take the dogs out while my wife Sandra (who hasn't joined yet as she says she'l never be off it!) had to pull it out and make it up.   Previously, we had a Bessacarr 725 which I called 'the furniture van', of course that had a huge bed but we were between dogs then!

We were determined to keep a van conversion, I will be 70 this year and not sure I want the the hassle of maintaining my licence, also we had to keep the Bessie in storage and liked having the Murvi on the drive.  We've also motorcycle camped across Europe, caravanned and trailer tented. We were told recently, it takes three attempts to get the 'right motorhome for you', hopefully that is the Kingham.

We've literally just driven the van home from the dealer last Saturday, and are still getting to grips with it, but already we've found the Forum tremendously useful.  We've noted issues such as the poor fitting of the microwave, paint blisters on the bumper and are not the only ones who think the large table is a waste of space, big and heavy no room to put it up in the van and a danger of damaging the woodwork over the cab, just on our short trip home it was crashing from side to side.

So lots to learn, we're currently tackling the problem of how to secure the dogs while travelling.   Our first planned trip is to an obedience trial in Warwickshire at the end of the month, hopefully the campsite won't mind the extra .4m length, though we hope to get out and about locally before then.
