Ferry crossing Dover to Calais

Hello All,

On our Auto-Sleeper Broadway FB i have noticed that the exhaust hangs quite low, also with the long over hang at the rear, is there a chance it is going to cause any issues getting on & off the ferry, as we are travelling down to Italy next month?

Also is it possible/ok to connect a four gang extension lead to the socket inside the van, to give us more electrical points, as another thing with the Broadway a lack of 3 pin sockets in the moho & will this be ok with the sites in France/Italy? The pitches have 16A supplies(Eurocamp Independant)

I have been worried a few times with overhang length and exhaust height on previous vans but have taken it slow and touch wood no issues 
The thing about extension leads is, don't overload them. If you understand this then it's ok.
We have the same with the Warwick, what few sockets there are have been placed by someone who never uses a motorhome using 220/240v equipment 
I use an extension lead if we use the TV for Safety Reasons, i.e. Not tripping over cables

Hi Sean, As Roli said you shouldnt have any problems with youre exhaust on the ferries. I have worked on car transporter boats and found the best thing is to get to the end of the ramp crawl up the ramp slowly.  Most Motorhomes are loaded with the HGV,s so you are on the bottom deck and dont have the problem of steep ramps. 
We have the problem of mains plugs in daft places. One behind each front seat and one at the top of the TV cupboard. We use an extension lead for the TV because it sits in front of the cocktail cabinet doors. I have been told that some French sites have lower output hookup than the UK sites. We couldnt put the water heater on mains and put the kettle on the hob. We have only tripped the power once, it amused the site warden for some reason. I would think carefully before plugging too much in. Put the kettle on first then the water maybe.
