Hello from Bridlington.
Hazel my wife and I have been camping on and of since the 70's, starting with tents and then purchasing our first camper, a hand painted 1964 VW Devon splity, running on a 6 volt battery and 1200cc engine.
]We purchased another younger splity (1968) after being smitten with the bug.
3 bays, C.F Bedford, VW LT28 Autostatus, later we purchased a 55 plate VW T5 LWB minibus and had it converted at Leisuredrive into a two berth camper with elevating roof.We have had a couple of caravans in between the campers.
In 2009 we part exchanged the VW for an ex demo A/S symbol on a 59 plate, what a van, we totalled up 8 thousand miles in it and part exchanged again for the 2009 Nuevo we currently own.
This van is the 20th anniversary LE model,3/20, originally purchased by a ASOC member, it has lots of extras, inside and out.
a well used van with 17k on the clock, i use Total low sulphur diesel and achieve 30/32 mpg on the 130 bhp engine.
Found the site on Google, its great to find folk with the same vans to compare notes with.
