Another Newbee! Empty Another Newbee!

Post by Spock Mon Oct 31, 2011 2:45 pm

Wife and I have just taken delivery of a 1988 Talbot Rambler. We have had motorhomes in the past but took the luxury life of a static for the last 10 years - now back to the road!! Only trouble is that retirement seems to interfere with the social life. The van only has one set of keys and I can't find a number on the main one - any idea of where to get a spare from? We live 'in the sticks' so our local shops don't carry blank car keys for cutting. Thanks and look forward to meeting you once we get our heads round the rallies etc.

Hi Spock.
Welcome to the forum from Nottinghamshire. All I can suggest is that now that you are mobile again get some spare keys cut on one of your trips out in the van.

We were recently in your area and can remember seeing a dealer on a main road think it was going towards Grimsby, that would be a good start, failing that wait till you go into a town where you can get one cut.

Hi Spock and welcome to the Forum from another Lincolnshire Yellowbelly.
We go out your way quite a bit - I have a stepdaughter in Louth and my wife used to live at Theddlethorpe St. Helen - right next to the great beach
Cheers
Stevo

Hi Spock and welcome to the forum wave

Great place Mablethorp, one of my Daughters lives in Boston and a Brother in Immingham, so you are in the middle.

I'm very young at heart (Who said 'childish' hugegrins ) and use to argue with Full size gun-toting Cowboy in the amusements there !!

My 'Kids' dis-owned me (He's nothing to do with us)

Enjoy the forum

Brian & Chris
