Hi from Cambridgeshire

Hello everyone, and thank you Admin for accepting us in to the AS Owners Forum. My husband and I own a Burford Duo which we've had since last September, so just over a year now. We've not yet retired (but it won't be long I'm sure) however we decided that why wait to start our adventures as you never know what's around the corner! Our motor homing travels started about three years ago on a trip to Australia for a wedding. We decided to make it much more of a holiday by hiring a motor home and driving the Great Ocean Road from Adelaide to Melbourne and then on up to Sydney for the wedding. Well... it all started out so well. We picked up our brand new motor home and set off for our first campsite right by the beach. Wonderful we thought, but during the night the wind picked up and turned in to a howling gale. The weather for the whole of the week was dreadful and along with the electrical problems we experienced with the van it became a bit of a disaster. But we actually loved it in a funny sort of way!! When we returned home we started to look at vans and eventually brought the AS. We have had some wonderful trips away this year and found some pretty special places. We are hoping to venture to Europe next year so any advice will be gratefully received. We look forward to meeting some of you along the way. Regards Chris & Phil

Welcome from a sunny Selsdon. Spent a week in St Ives on a rally earlier this year. Lovely area. You must consider France. Open roads, easy parking and lots of campsites without having to book! Oh and did I mention cheap diesel?
