My husband and I have had a Trooper (98) for many years but now find ourselves less able through Father Time to travel more than a hundred miles or so from Hornchurch Essex. We would be very pleased to hear of recommended sites not too far away - many thanks

I am sure someone with local knowledge will be on soon Barbara with some advice.
Have to admit the only sites we have stayed on in Essex are Theobalds Park C&CC site quite a few times as it was close to my employers HO, and a CC-CL near Maldon as it was near relatives.

hellowave

Two sites I have used several times in East Anglia are the C&CC site at Thetford and the Forestry Commission also near Thetford.

The former has walks from the site and both are close to Norwich which has several Park & Ride locations.

Hi Barbara ( & husband), and welcome to the forum smileywave

I suppose we are guilty of not using 'local' sites (the grass is always greener etc.)

Hi there,

Welcome from a very windy Narbonne Plage.

Not too sure of geography (anything south of The Wash is London) but had a great visit to a CC near Birdham. If you can cycle there is a great cycle track into Chichester.

On the age front; you shouldn't stop doing things because you are getting old because you get old mainly because you stop doing things!

Like cycling, just choose a lower gear and keep the old pedals turning and you get there; eventually!

Best regards,
