In a few days we will take delivery of our first motorhome: a new 2013 Auto-Sleeper Symbol. Why the Symbol? a) at 5.4m it fits on our drive, a 6m van wouldn't b) we only need a 2 berth c) my wife insisted on a toilet and shower d) I didn't want something that looked like a fridge

We're planning a couple of weekends fairly close to home as first trips to get used to the various systems and see how long the leisure battery lasts if we don't have a hook-up. All a bit of an adventure, should be great fun.

It will probably get used mostly at weekends for photography, watercolour painting, an walking (with the dog) trips.

I'm sure I'll be asking my fair share of "stupid" questions over the next few weeks / months!

Welcome from a wet Eastbourne/Polegate location. Well it is Summer after all
Our previous van was a Symbol, "Hilda" suited us "tooo the ground".
But as always the case with us, get the van just right & then change it
We can still get "Nancy" as still under 6M on our drive, but she does give us 2 full length settee's for lounging on
