LED Awning Light Replacement on Nuevo
Hi, I'd welcome some advice on this one please.
The awning light on my 2022 Nuevo (LED strip light) is very dim and the dealer has recommended replacement, apparently lights are not covered under warranty. I have two questions relating to this:-
1. If the LEDs are dim, does this mean they have failed so need to be replaced or is it a sign of some other problem (I don't have other known electrical issues)?
2. Dealer has quoted two hours labour to replace, is this realistic as it seems a lot to change a light bulb!!!! Does anyone have experience of changing this part, what is involved?
all advice appreciated.

Re: LED Awning Light Replacement on Nuevo
Has the external awning LED strip light always been dim?
And are all the LEDs equally dim or have some failed whilst others remain bright?
If all are equally dim, and if the internal 12v lights are at normal brightness (so leisure battery is ok) then I suspect wiring. Hence the 2 hours estimate.
If wiring, isn’t that covered by warranty?

Thanks Cymru, The LEDs were much brighter and it is all of them that are equally dim rather than just some of them. And yes, all the other lighting is fine, battery is good.
thanks for your response, you have confirmed my suspicions!

Re: LED Awning Light Replacement on Nuevo
Without seeing your van I would surmise that the awning light is part of the gutter that is glued to the wall over the habitation door, if that is the case it will take two hours to replace.
Again I would surmise that the connections for the light are in the void behind the EC700 control panel and if one of those connections was high resistance, that could cause dim lights. I've not been behind one of those units but I believe they may also be glued rather than screwed and if that is the case, not a quick job.
