Re: Weather
Frost here as well -2 . Sunny though, so just waiting for sun to get onto windscreen rather than scraping or spraying. No further frost or freezing temps for the next week.

Re: Weather
Having mentioned about frosty windscreens it reminded me we have to be out early hours on Monday for rust proofing. The forecast is for drizzle and light rain so that’s not too bad hopefully.

Re: Weather
Overnight rain showers leading to a cool dry dawn, south westerly breeze. Good walk with Tag down the prom and back for porridge .
Staying up while it’s dry to put a couple of wash loads on.
Have a nice day, take care if your on tour.
Boaby. Morning Dave

Re: Weather
Had to defrost car before going to orchestra rehearsal last night, -3C at 6pm, by 10pm when I got in the car to come home temperature was up to +3C with no sign of frost. Overnight temperatures forecast in double figures over weekend. Crazy having near 15 degrees change in temperature in less than 48 hours.

Re: Weather
Rain has cleared here too leaving a cloudy day, although there's more wet stuff on the way for sometime this afternoon. The temperature seesaw goes on so it's back up to around 10°c today. No chance of drying clothes outside today though.

Another bright start but not as frosty as yesterday. Garden tidying today before one of us gets distracted. I was all set for us to get started yesterday but management was dragged out for lunch and shopping with her nutty mate. It will take me forever on my own.

Re: Weather
I made a dent in the garden tidying filling the bin to the top whilst the weather held out. A lot of the trimmings was the ivy we cut out of the hawthorn a couple of weeks ago. It had started growing again and was stuck to the path in some places so the rest of the ivy stacked up on the drive will go next week once the bins emptied on Tuesday.
Just two builders sacks of chipped bits and the logs to shift.

Re: Weather
A milder if overcast start to the day this morning. Our walk took longer than normal because muttly stood and stared at a couple of guys fitting a window. He still has can’t walk past something that’s different or he dosnt understand but he is getting better at socializing. He let one of the guys make a fuss of him before he would walk past.

Pretty much the same as yesterday, dry now after overnight rain. Looks to be a cloudy day with more rain this evening and a high of 12°c. Outlook is for it turn colder with winds coming from the north over the next few days.

Re: Weather
Very heavy rain through the night , dry now with plenty of blue sky at the moment. 11° rising to 13 but a good chance of more rain later on. Nothing planned today, I think we are done with the present shopping.

Re: Weather
13C at 10 o clock last night when our concert in Dundee finished. Came out from Caird Hall into City Square which had winter festival in full swing, seemed strange with temperature that high.
About half of the gentlemen in the orchestra were kilted for St Andrews day. Conductor resplendent in Prince Charlie jacket and waistcoat with tartan trews. Good programme, large audience and from where I was sitting, great performance. One to remember. Just got to pack kilt etc safely away now.

Re: Weather
A grey damp morning with a cold breeze for our walk. At least I didn’t have to de frost the van windscreen before I moved it off the drive ready for tomorrow’s trip for the rust proofing.
I recently fitted an angle plug to the hook up lead. Now I can back off the drive leaving the plug in place rather than having to move over first to give me room against the hedge. I dropped the lead through the window until I was off the drive. A simple alteration that works well as long as I don’t drag the lead along the drive.

Overnight rain has stopped now, 7 degrees but still wet. According to the Met Office it's to get colder as the day goes on and rain is on the way.

Re: Weather
Felt like a mild night but thermometer showing +4C, forecast is this time tomorrow will be -4C so quite a change.
Dreaded airbag warning light came on on van yesterday, ECU gone again. Don't need van for a couple of weeks so will remove ECU this week and send if to Northern Autotech. Checked back and ECU went in January 2023.

Still raining here but looks like it will clear south in a couple of hours leaving it cloudy with some sunshine. High is around 6°c today but much colder tomorrow with snow on the forecast for some northern parts. Take care folks.

Constant rain through night, still raining now, very mild overnight as well. 7° right now, which us as warm as it gets today, dropping to around 3 by end of day, good chance rain will continue all day.

Re: Weather
We had a lovely sun rise as we climbed up on to the wolds with a double rainbow this morning on route to Tattershal Bridge. As we crossed the wolds the early sun was shining through the hedges or full into our eyes. By the time we dropped into Horncastle my eyes were quite soar.
I had planned to be at the garage by eight thirty but got stuck behind an arctic at Laceby and he didn’t turn off until Coningsby. There’s not meany places to pass especially with the sun in my eyes so it was 40mph and half an hour late.
We decide to go to Gunby Hall and see it dressed up for Christmas. It was different countries this year. After lunch it was overcast as we drove home. Crossing the wolds it was intermittent heavy drizzle. A huge change from early morning and not easy in management’s Fiesta. The car is absolutely filthy now.
My boss used to complain that my van was always dirty. He never drove in the Lincolnshire wolds in the winter.
