Leisure Battery Empty Leisure Battery

Post by Supapen Thu May 30, 2024 8:58 am

Our leisure battery has died, on removing it, it appears to be a  car battery! What battery is recommended for a Malvern?

I use one of these in my Gloucester (Marquis Special version of Malvern), not strictly a leisure battery, but as I rarely use off EHU sites works fine.

I am no expert regarding batteries but if I was replacing a battery that’s going to be used as a leisure battery that’s the type of battery to go for.
When we bought the Rienza it had one 110 amp Banner car battery and an unknown 100 amp leisure battery linked. The vehicle battery was a Banner 80 amp that was five years old.
As part of upgrading the electrics I started with the recommended 100 amp vehicle battery followed by two 100 amp leisure batteries. A 110 amp wouldn’t fit under the passenger seat.
Tanya batteries web site was very helpful giving the correct battery for the vehicle and the dimensions of the leisure batteries.

Definitely should be using a leisure battery, they are designed differently for the job and serve a different purpose than the vehicle battery.
This may help: LEISURE BATTERY
