headlining
after a bit of advice please. the roof liner on our Nuevo is drooping, albeit very slightly. it would appear the smidgen of adhesive used by AS is hardly up to the task. i inserted a piece of double sided tape a few hours ago but this hasn't fixed it.
just wondering if others have had this happen or similar. it seems hardly worth getting a warranty fix. i don't think a strong heavy duty glue is the answer, as at sometime the lights or wires may need a fix. nano tape has been suggested by a pal. hope you can offer advice. thanks. Doug.

Re: headlining
I replaced ours on the same model Nuevo about 3 years ago, there is another posting concerning this problem. I had to remove the inner roof panels (2 pieces of thin ply), remove the old roof lining and replace with a new one bought off ebay. the only way of fixing the new roof ling to the ply is a good quality spray adhesive, evo stick. While the ply was off I fitted more insulation. The job isn't difficult just a bit restricting because of the position. I used 5mm foam backed cream vinyl.

Re: headlining
Does that happen to be a Ducato van cab area roof lining Doog? Although it was some years ago I had that happen on a new camper, and the factory adhesive had stained the lining as well. Took it back to Brownhills and apparently it was a Fiat known feature and they changed the lining for a new one, nice, prompt and without fuss. So Brownhills can do some things right, apparently.
If it's the cab area lining I wouldn't mess with it yourself, it isn't going to get better, and the warranty will expire just before the whole ceiling collapses so do get it fixed pronto. I hear that Autosleeper adhesives leave something to be desired in the 'woodwork' vinyl coverings as well, but I don't think AS make the doors and drawers, I am pretty sure they are made in a vast Italian factory.

Re: headlining
The roof lining in the over cab bed became very saggy in ours about 3 months after picking it up, it was booked into the service under warranty by Marquis dealer and took two attempts to refix, apparently they had changed the adhesive during the assembly and it wasn’t as good as the original one that use to be used. All good now, so hopefully it will stay fixed.

Re: headlining
I think mine was something like 2015. New from Brownhills, it developed a large stained area. I sent a photo to Brownhills and they said yes it's a known fault with the adhesive, they ordered a new one, I took it in and waited while they fitted it. No problems, no discussion, absolute good customer service on that occasion. Credit where it's due, but I did have some expensive £3,800 responsibility avoidance from them on another occasion.
