Jammed Hartal Habitation Door
Has anyone a solution for opening the Hartal Habitation Door of my Auto Sleeper Lancashire EK. The door stay at the top has dropped stopping me from opening the door more than a few inches.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Jammed Hartal Habitation Door
HI, this happened on my Hartal ,the allen screw holding the stay had come loose , I managed to force it open and screwlock it back into place ,only for a while ,it eventually broke and needed replaceing. It is a bad design and features on this forum often, No easy fix I keep a spare and bodge them as need be, Best of luck , you need to be brave to force the door open!!!! Regards Paul

Thank You Paul, this has happened to me before and I had to hacksaw the allen screw to open the door, fingers crossed that will work this time.
Many Thanks

It's a very poor design - with the Allen screw upwards, and the opening movement of the door applying friction and tending to undo it, such that the screw will drop and block.
When eventually you've sorted it, you may wish to apply some screw thread locking compound to the Allen screw, and also liberally lubricate the stay mechanism, especially near the Allen screw so there's little friction.
You've just reminded me to check ours.
