Well the sleet has stopped here in the Manchester area, temperature remains about 2C. And to think I moan if the sun is too strong around midday in Spain and start looking for shade-even in winter.
Seriously Quilter, sorry you’ve missed the maiden voyage, it would have been an exciting experience.

Thank you Harry. We watched the inauguration video when BF introduced her earlier this week and saw the film of the fireworks on her arrival in Portsmouth last night. She is currently in the (stormy) Bay of Biscay apparently destined for Portsmouth !
It will be interesting to see what the passengers think of her.

About one hour from now we should have been touching down at Calgary to just above freezing going down to around -10 at night ready for our onward journey to "home".
Instead we are here in sub tropical Cornwall where Spring has already sprung, the spring flowers are coming out and people are still wearing shorts. Cut the grass yesterday ( most of it anyway).
To cheer you up in these miserable times here is a bunch of flowers picked yesterday, better times are just around the corner!

Meanwhile we're on our third day of near sub zero drizzle and fog. Warmer but wetter for weekend.. Right now I should be having my morning swim before breakfast outside under a sunshade..
