The windout awning on my 2010 Mercedes Autosleeper Gloucester  is factory fitted and has only been used a couple of times It now is jammed shut and will not budge. Any ideas?

Pictures of the locking mechanism below.  I suggest putting the winder in and rock to and fro firmly but not violently and hope the locks will jump out.  It may help if you can stand on a platform and put a bit of leverage behind with your fingers.

A company called Rose Awnings supplied Autosleeper and they may be able to help but they were procured sometime ago as a bespoke design so.....

Mine sometimes sticks when winding out. I wind it a bit to put pressure on it then gently ease the blade out of the housing. Usually then pops out and all fine until next time.

Tiny wee springs in the ratchet mechanism hold the awning shut,if these have come adrift? The ratchet will not release allowing the awning to wind out, pushing the blade usually releases the mechanism.   up!
Check springs.
