You have to register and confirm your email, but your dealer has to register you vehicle on it afterwards, then you can go in and setup and pay for your tracker subscription. The link below is the form they gave me.

Re: Sargent tracker registration
Is this the same thing as HAL-LOCATE?
Or have they finally done away with that system now?

Re: Sargent tracker registration
My 2017 van has the Hal-Locate. It is the only tracker I have ever had so can't compare. I have noted it uses quite a lot of power, but just for my interest, can you say what you disliked about the Hal-Locate?johndean wrote:

Hi,
The problem was every time I moved it Ha-locate called my mobile phone to say it was moving, but I had no mobile signal for it at home so couldn’t text it to say Disarm. When I did get a signal so had to find a lay-by to stop and text them . Forgot so any times to disarm after moving away.
It might have been a good system but keep texting was difficult.
I am hoping that I don’t have to do this with Sargent but I don’t know yet until I got it working.
My son uses my van a lot and he also found remembing to text Disarm every time also difficult.
Might be just us being difficult.

Hi,
Thanks for all your help Sargent all working now. No way was it a simple operation or straight forward.
However arming is done by switching off ignition too arm and switching on ignition to disarm No texting hooray.

Re: Sargent tracker registration
Mine was the same, they only ever received about 50% of the 'disarm' texts I sent.
Which then resulted in my phone ringing and ringing and ringing because 20mins later they'd noticed I'd moved and they were desperate to check if it had been stolen.
Then there are all the times I forgot to send a text before driving off. Again resulting in my phone ringing, by which point I was on the motorway on my way to work with no where to pull over to take their damned call.
Drove me absolutely bonkers!
It got so infuriating that after only five months I cancelled it mid-contract and got a proper tracker fitted (tracker.co.uk) - which doesn't require me to send any text messages
