Feedback on Auto-Sleeper Parts Service
Just a comment about the Auto-Sleeper parts service after using it for the first time. I raised an enquiry on Saturday for some replacement feet for the bed legs. I got a response and quote on the following Monday so I ordered and paid for them online. Parts arrived in post on Tuesday. An excellent service.

Yes you are right. I have always found them to be very efficient. The pity is you used to be able to call in rather that phone and post, but that stopped sometime last year. Not sure why.

At the time they stopped it , the reason stated was health and safety, too much risk with vehicle movements there.Bobskate wrote:Yes you are right. I have always found them to be very efficient. Of course I remember now. We must be kept away from vehicles at all costs.

I too have found their service excellent, with anything bought arriving the following day. And good advice/knowledge too.

Re: Feedback on Auto-Sleeper Parts Service
That's the excuse our local sorting office made to stop customer parking in their own large car park whilst picking up parcels for which a card had been left. Unfortunately, there is no other alternative parking for some distance so now means risking double yellow lines on the busy road outside.Paulmold wrote:At the time they stopped it , the reason stated was health and safety, too much risk with vehicle movements there.Bobskate wrote:Yes you are right. You can collect from the reception if you ask.
To be honest, the postal service is so good that I would just use that. In fact last year I wanted a plastic keep for an overhead locker door catch and was going to the factory in a few days time so thought I would call one of my contacts to hold it for me but decided (rightly) it would be much less hassle to have it posted and receive it the next day.

Re: Feedback on Auto-Sleeper Parts Service
I had my Fiamma awning fitted by them and must admit found it pretty weird when the guy doing the job drove it into one of the bays, then as i was walking over expecting to be able to watch them do the work, the shutters came down and i was told "forbidden...go for a walk or read a magazine in reception". Wasn't as though i expected to follow them around inside the workshop but they didn't want me to see anything.Paulmold wrote:At the time they stopped it , the reason stated was health and safety, too much risk with vehicle movements there.Bobskate wrote:Yes you are right. Re: Feedback on Auto-Sleeper Parts Service
My experience with my Benimar (Trigano group same as AS) was when I had a warranty issue, I was expected to take a photograph of the problem then send it to the person who handled all warranty claims at Marquis Tewkesbury.
This was then forwarded to Benimar in Spain for a decision to be made. Always approved, but they had total control over any issue found. These decisions were then passed back to Marquis. If any parts were required, there would be a further wait for them to be delivered.
When I had a AS Broadway, there was no time delay. An example of this was having a problem with my microwave, they found at Tewkesbury it was on the point of catching fire. They shot off to AS factory to get and fit a replacement, job done.
I just hope this doesn't change for you AS owners and the group don't chip away and alter the present system, therefore preventing a factory visit.
Leighton.

Re: Feedback on Auto-Sleeper Parts Service
Does anyone have an email address for the parts dept? I emailed them via the contact page on the AS website but have had no reply.

http://www.auto-sleepers.com/parts-enquiry/
There used to be a page to fill in your enquiry but now if you click on the link in the above page you have to enter email address and password. Strange , I would think that is more likely to be for trade customers. There is a phone number for parts on the above link page. Perhaps if you ring them you could explain about not being able to email them.

Not just for Trade Customers. I registered and inquired after a small part, received a prompt reply with cost inc delivery.

Doesn't seem to need a password at all if you go direct to the "contact us" link.Paulmold wrote:http://www.auto-sleepers.com/parts-enquiry/

Another pat on the back for the staff at the AS parts department, ordered a winter fridge vent cover on Monday and it arrived this morning.
I would like to offer another pat, a hefty one on the head this time, to the theiving
who nicked the old one off our motorhome

Sorry to hear that. Why do you need fridge vents on in this summer weather?

It gets very cold up here micky
We keep the van in storage and I stick them on to keep bugs at bay and when giving it the occasional wash. I had taken it over to a local motorhome company to get an estimate for some work and I'm 99% sure that's when it was removed.

HY I lived in Scotland for a time. It can be windy and wet for sure.
Maybe the motorhome company removed them and put these inside?
Its a cheap part and i dont bother to fit them in my winter trips to Spain.
regards

Re: Feedback on Auto-Sleeper Parts Service
They are certainly not cheap, about £20 for a piece of plastic.

Spot on. I had considered about trying to add some extra security and then thought I was going over the top. After this, my thinking cap is back on

I think you will find that you need to blame Elf n Safety for your rejection. Their Insurers won't cover you so you ha e to be kept out in case you injure yourself!Bulletguy wrote:I had my Fiamma awning fitted by them and must admit found it pretty weird when the guy doing the job drove it into one of the bays, then as i was walking over expecting to be able to watch them do the work, the shutters came down and i was told "forbidden...go for a walk or read a magazine in reception".
