Brought the elite one today thinking it would give me enough clearance over the centre of steering wheel.
When trying on to the van there seems to be plenty room & thinking I should of went for the pro instead.

I had the same questions when deciding which one to buy recently.
The website download indicated the Pro wouldn’t fit even though I had my suspicions it would.
A quick call to a very helpful and knowledgeable guy in Stoplocks technical support confirmed the pro would be fine, which it was.

Stop lock won't stop them stealing your van, they cut my steering wheel with a portable grinder. Best with a full cover one to stand a chance.  Regards Paul.

That really is awful Paul and I fully understand your anger/frustration.
If someone comes equipped with a grinder however, they do mean business and I don’t think that even a full lock would stop them.
Just my opinion of course but any deterrent (and visual deterrents seem to be making a come back) is still worthwhile.

This thread has been dealt with previously, under the guise of motorhome security. Worth looking up.

The full steering wheel covers like disklok are expensive to buy new - but buy a used one that only has one key then get a second key from disklok works out at about half new price.

Why do so many security items on eBay only have one key?

the seller keeps a key - posts you the lock - then a few weeks later visits at night and steals your motor! ………………or they put the spare keys in a safe place when they buy the lock - then after a couple of years forget where the "safe place" was?
Think we've all done that (not the 1st option).

I sold a Stoplock a few years ago with only one key as I couldn’t find the others. After 2 days of searching, I did eventually find the others though and posted them on to the grateful buyer.
Obviously there may be other less honest reasons!

Edit...beaten to it by Steve!

I once travelled quite a distance to look at a motorbike I'd seen for sale on ebay. All was good, but just as I was about to hand over several grand, I asked where the second key was.
At his nearby place of work was the seller's reply. As he had told me he was self-employed I asked him if he could go and get it, but he came back with lots of reasons why he couldn't, and promised to post it to me ASAP.
I decided to walk away, not only because a new coded key from the manufacturer could have cost a few hundred pounds, but what was to stop him or a mate coming to my address in the future and nicking my bike?
