Maybe a bike ride tomorrow, weather permitting.

I wish we could have said the same here. We were due to take the van for the first trip out since early March to a remote corner of a NT car park for tea. It was so windy that there would have been no pleasure driving it so we didn't.

Cool feel in the air at dawn, nice and bright with some cloud cover, no chippies open at 5 a.m, fancied a fish supper this morning.
Good walk with Tag along Sewerby cliffs, lots of young birds out, pity the cars are back out again as there's dead birds and hedgehogs everywhere on the roads.

I love Bridlington and Sewerby. We used to have family holidays there many years ago, staying in the Sewerby Caravan Park.  We used to walk down the little snicket to the cliffs then down into Brid.

Happy times.

Nothing much has changed on the north side off town, Sewerby hall and gardens are still attracting visitors, the CAMC site is usually almost full, the town has lost a lot of big names and reduced to betting shops, cash converters and charity shops, supermarkets are out of town in small retail areas.
Cool north westerly winds, dreich overcast, roll on summer.

Poured down most of the day here, now drizzly and grey. Today was supposed to be better than yesterday according to BBC app but luckily we met up with son's family yesterday outdoors and it was a lovely day for our first meeting since mid-March.

No, you’re not. We’ve just lit the fire. It’s grey, miserable, drizzly and COLD. I’m just about to draw the curtains and shut it out.

Not seen many midges around this year to be honest .  Its  been too dry and warm for them and when it rains there is usually a bid of a breeze  to keep them at bay .  Dont know what its like up Loch  Lomondside mind you.....

Son says they are bad up and around Loch Sunnard ,Fort William way, the pair had the Kayaks out on the water and had to put on head nets when they beached up for a wee break .
Grey and overcast this morning , wee sea breeze, beautiful sunrise, with accompanying dawn chorus,Mavis in full swing.

Still cool here but getting warmer, bit of drizzle yesterday but looks like the next few days will be dry. Need to check the charcoal stocks in case I need it for this weekend.

It's been heavy rain since 9 last night, with a brief weather window to get Tag out for his jobby, teaming down again.
There's hope in the forecast for the weekend, yippee.  BBQ

Chilly, windy and wet here. Managements friend is coming for lunch and a walk today. I think the walk is out of plan now. I have a haircut booked for 12 so I will be retreating into the workshop to keep out of the way. Managements friend is a bit too full  on for me and muttly. Two ex NHS nurses putting the world to right is not good. We both keep a low profile when she is here.

I cant saw straight at the best of times so god knows what a haircut would end up like. No que at the barbers. Instead of thel boss and one other girl there were five of them. One spraying and  all the seats and contact surfaces.
Feels better if a little breezy  round the neck. Managed to get there and back as the rain eased off so it was a pleasant walk.

Earlier start at first light to beat the forecasted rain for the coast this morning, nothing, not a drop.
Mavis in full swing on the dawn chorus, joined by a few greenfinch. Enjoyed the Sewerby walk.

Dry and sunny after some overnight rain, next few days forecast is for settled, warm weather. Good news because we're heading over to see what state the van is in after 4 months. Got to get it ready for our first trip out next week, fingers crossed think_smiley_46

It was in reasonable condition under the circumstances, inside at least, with both batteries at 13.7v so we should get it started with a bit of luck. The outside was a different story, really dirty with green gunge, bird **** and loads of spiders shrugg . We rearranged the dirt as best we could hugegrins  I might have a problem with the fridge vents, whatever our nevertobeusedagain dealer used to fix them seems to be turning into little worms trying to escape. Not sure whether they need to come off or if I can seal them round the edges. Not going far, just up to a couple of sites near Stirling.

Nice bright day here and starting to get quite warm. After I have walked muttly we have the hedges to trim. The side hedge has been done on the naibors side and top. I will move the Rienza across to do our side so I can see the gate post. I caught it with the Duetto a few years ago. The front hedge doesn’t take a lot after we had the tree man chop it back.
I might be tempted to have a run out before we are away next weekend. I am still waiting for the water filler neck but I can fill the tank if I need to.
