Drove Mrs SDA to Peveril of the Peak yesterday, where she's leading a weekend music break holiday. We drove down into Irlam and the River Dove was v high and fast flowing. Lots of fields in the valleys were flooded but the roads were fine.

V misty outside but it looks like the all day rain stopped early in the night as some pavinghas dry patches. Trees are damp and dank. Looking up the sky doesn't look cloudy, so it may break through clear once the mist has gone.

Heavy frost here, rain droplets frozen on windscreens. Sun is shining, blue sky, hopefully temp will rise and clear the frost soon.

All I can say about the weather all this rain seems to create black streaks on the van. Going to Baltic Wharf this weekend (yes I managed to get in) and had to clean the van today and use my black streak remover. We need the sun back.  frustrating

everything is frozen, minus 3 in the back garden, fortunately I had an old set of thermal screens to put on the wee car .
Need to thaw out the bird bath.

Mrs SDA had a worrying drive in a thick patch of fog last night as she drove home from one of  her choirs in Nantwich. Just outside our village it was the thickest she'd seen since the '50's .

Clear as a bell this morning and -1 with white grass and hardly a breath.

Nice covering of white frost this morning. We had a yellow warning for fog here from 3am to 11am this morning but not a sign of any fog, clear and bright.

Coastal showers have eased of,leading to frosty nights again, black ice on most side roads and paths.
Suns out ,however still cold.

It seems to have rained solidly here for at least a week now, poured down overnight and still is, getting boring.

We've had two reasonably dry days down here, which unfortunately meant I could get on with the path laying.
However, it poured down (again) overnight and the slope down the public footpath in my garden is like a mudslide.
I've just come in after a solid five hours out there and just as I was tidying up for the day, it's bucketed down again.
Let's hope for a crisp and dry winter.

It's 24 degrees and sunny here this morning after a low of 16 last night.
Forecast is to get a bit warmer this afternoon, may have showers tomorrow though.
